Pre-Build Consultation

Our pre-build consultation services are tailored to meet the needs of your project. They can include:

Reviewing drawings and advising on building methods and logistics
Troubleshooting any potential construction challenges
Working with the architect/engineer and recommending design approaches that take full advantage of Nexcem's performance benefits
Pricing and estimating portions of the build
Help to create a comprehensive build schedule
Providing advice and support re working with your building inspector and getting them comfortable with Nexcem

Throughout your pre-build consultation, you will be working directly with Tim and Ben.

Nexcem Build Pricing and Material Estimates

Pricing and material estimating is typically a component of our Pre-Build Consultation, but it is an item popular enough to be highlighted separately.

We go through your finalized plans and:

Create a detailed material requirement estimate for Fastfoot footings, Nexcem foundation, Nexcem wall assembly, window and door bucks, and all other Nexcem-related components.
Price out the material costs in a detailed estimate.
In the end, you’ll have a detailed breakdown of every piece of lumber, every item, and every product required to build each portion of your Nexcem home, with an itemized pricing estimate attached to each. We’ll even include the gap between the ‘exact’ requirements and the contingency, off-cut, waste, and overlap percentage requirements.

While we are as detailed and precise as possible, we cannot overstate enough that these pricing and material lists are only estimates.

On-Site Consultation

When Singbeil ICF is hired for On-Site Consultation, Tim and/or Ben will personally be on-site (wherever in the world it may be) to oversee the Nexcem portion of your build. Again, every job is different, but some of the common things we do while consulting on-site are:

Demonstrate best practices for working efficiently, including simple tips and tricks to prevent unnecessary delays and errors.
Aid in the layout and the accurate placement of the crucial first-row of block.
Ensure proper Nexcem installation and optimal structural integrity.
Make sure that Nexcem is properly reinforced for concrete pours.
Make sure that Nexcem is properly braced and supported during concrete pour to reduce the chance of any blowouts during concrete pumping.
Design, layout, and oversee Nexcem-specific window and door bucks.
Ensure that window and door lintels are reinforced and built as per engineering requirements.

Remote Consultation

Tim and Ben are also available to provide remote consultation services during the construction phase of your build. Our team will be on standby for questions, troubleshooting, advice, or quality reviews as needed by phone or video call.

How We Work

Everything begins with an introductory call with Ben. He will get a sense of your project needs and timeline, and discuss how best we can help. If you have drawings for your build ready, feel free to send these our way as well.

After our call we’ll send you a preliminary plan for working together.

Once you’ve confirmed you are ready to move forward, we will send you an invoice for our retainer fee and a copy of our service agreement.
