Build Your Nexcem House With Singbeil ICF

Scope
-
Singbeil ICF will build the entire vertical structure of your house. This means footings, foundation, and above grade walls. We work with the homeowner or GC to make sure that we’re a seamless part of the whole build.
-
While on-site, we consider and incorporate every other trade, from plumber to cabinetmaker, into our work. We’ve highlighted below a few key examples.
Windows & Doors
-
Openings in a Nexcem build take meticulous planning. Our window and door bucks are built with two main purposes in mind. First, they have to support the Nexcem before and during the concrete pour. And second, they have to provide a suitable and highly resilient substrate to which windows and doors to fasten.
-
This means that our window buck designs are tailored to each build. We make adjustments as needed, depending on the requirements of the window and door manufacturer and according to the preferences of the installers.

Floor Systems
-
Nexcem builds typically use the Simpson Strong-Tie ICFVL ledger system to support the floor.
-
This system connects the structure of the floor from joists to ledger board directly to the concrete core of the Nexcem wall.
-
We install the first Simpson Strong-Tie component (the hexagonal plates) at the required height and spacing. When the carpenters frame the floor behind us, they attach the ledger boards directly to the hexagonal plates using the second Simpson Strong-Tie component (the ledger hanger).
Lintels
-
Lintels are important in every form of construction and Nexcem is no different. The size of opening and the load each lintel bears will determine their ultimate design. The amount of concrete and the use of reinforcement are the two main variables in every Nexcem lintel.
-
Builds with full Nexcem lintels are typical, but it’s also common to integrate other materials like lumber or steel into the Nexcem structure. We’ll either place these ourselves, or provide the necessary substrates, such as beam pockets or plates, for their future placement.
